You do need Canva Pro if you wish to:

Absolutely, that’s the intention! A template is not a color palette. It’s a framework, structure and layout you style with your own brand colors and fonts.
The bulk of your templates (with the exception of some mockup and headshot templates) are designed with example placeholder photos so you can see what style of photo is well suited to the template. The photos have been sourced from Canva’s photo library, which means they are free if you’re a Canva PRO user. Several photos have also been sourced from Unsplash, which are also free for you to use.
You’re welcome to use any photos in the templates, however, in most cases you will likely want to swap the photos to suit your niche and own personal br
You are permitted to use the Canva templates to create products for reselling, however, it is important to keep in mind that the templates are subject to copyright laws. To prevent any infringement of other users’ rights, you must make significant changes and edits to the templates before reselling them. This includes but not limited to change the overall design, layout, illustrations and typography. Additionally, you must not use Canva’s name, logo or trademark without prior written consent.
